1、Common requirements on washing clothes

Soak clothes in the water could melt the dust and sweat of the clothes into water, which could enhance the quality of washing. This could also save detergent and help you to understand the stability of dye, so that you could prevent mis-dyed on the clothes. The time for soaking clothes depends on the material of clothes, how long they have been used and stability of dye, but the quantity of water should be enough. There should be categories in clothes, such as washing light color, small and less dirty clothes at first, and then wash dark color, big and more dirty clothes later. It is not good to wash all kinds of clothes together.

2、Silk and wool clothes should soak in acid cold water after washing them, because it is not good to wash silk and wool in water contains soda. Normally the remained detergent in the fiber contains soda, so the acid water could neutralize the soda. Moreover, this could make the clothes more lustered. You could use glacial acetic acid or vinegar (white vinegar would be better) to make acid water. You should wash the clothes with clean water for 1 to 2 times after washing them in acid water.

3、Wool knits such as cashmere and woolen clothes should be washed by hands in water lower than 35℃ with neutral detergent. You could not wring the clothes with strength. Besides, it is not good to soak the clothes in water for a long time, especially for clothes with more than two colors. There should be enough water to soak the clothes, and you should wash the clothes as soon as you soak them in the water to prevent mis-dyed. Expose the clothes in the air, but you should pad them with dry towel to the original shape.

4、Manmade cotton and manmade silk are knits with viscose fiber, which would degrade its intensity when putting into water. In that case, you could not soak these clothes in the water for a long time. Besides, you could not wring them with strength or rub with washboard. Viscose fiber could not be expose to the sunshine.

Washing silk material

It is not good to soak silk material in hot water, wring with strength or rub with washboard. You should turn to the function, which washes for silk only, if you really want to wash silk material in washing machine. You should wash the silk material softly in sufficient water if you wash it with hands. It is not good to soak silk in the water for a long time, and the temperature should be under 40-50℃.

Washing woolen clothes

Woolen clothes should be dry washing since they are very expensive. Washing woolen clothes in water would bring harm to the pattern of clothes and quality of wool, which would also cause film color or out of shape. The temperature of detergent shall be around 40℃ and clean with cold water. You should use treatment agent to make wool softer and fluffier after removing the dirt.

Features of cashmere garment

Cashmere garments are soft, smooth, light and warm, because the fiber of cashmere is small. Yarn made of cashmere is especially soft, so do clothes made of those yarns.

Angles of scales in cashmere fiber are very small, which stick with the wool tightly. Moreover, scales are ranged in order, which enables smooth surface of the fiber. Sweater made of such cashmere is smooth too.

Cashmere fiber is small and light, so cashmere garment is lighter than woolen garment if they were with the same thickness. It is not easy to transfer heat from cashmere fiber because there are many gaps among fibers. It would keep you warm because cashmere garment has good performance on heat prevention.

Cashmere fiber is small and short. It could easy to form grains if the quantity of yarn, number of turns, frame of knits and density of knits are not well arranged. Don’t rub on the clothes when wearing cashmere garment. The inner part of your coat should be smooth if you want to wear cashmere garment inside.
